Sandy River Music Festival
There are photo shoots that simply will stay with you as a favorite experience, and the Sandy River Music Festival is on that list for me. Here's why.
Underwater Photos
Taking underwater photos in Maine water is the best! Using my underwater camera housing, I shot pictures of a couple cooling off. I think this kind of photography for me highlights the best parts of summer in Maine, and I don't get to photograph in rivers very often! The best part was realizing that a moose was nonchalantly watching us all just on the edge of the riverbank!
Scrumptious Smells
I love the smell of dew in the morning, with the hint of lingering campfires from an evening of fireside fun. Add the fresh mountain air, and then top it off with the food being freshly prepared and it's a scent-sational experience. I had no problem doing some close up shots of piping hot oven fired pizza!
Songs and Laughter
Seriously, capturing photos of the joy of dancing to music outdoors, featuring local and national talent is only enhanced by the sounds of laughter and conversation of kids, young and old. These songs of life echo through the valley under an umbrella of twinkling stars in the night sky.
It's a fabulous weekend of live rock, folk, bluegrass music and camping under a spectacular view of Mt. Blue and the perfect way to kick off the summer!
