Double Exposure Portraits
The work featured on this page is work I have created for myself for varying reasons. Like all art, we sometimes understand the image and why we created it after. All images shown here are available for purchase as art on metal prints in sizes ranging from 11x14 to 30x40 inches. Images can be commissioned in the style of any of these featured.
Soul Portraits: We are of Our Environment
I began creating images like this when I began to truly see how connected we are to all life on this planet. I also began this work after the passing of someone very near and dear to me and in reflection, the images are what I call Soul Portraits. It is a process I do in camera while shooting and I just feel out.
Beauty of Water
I have been creating images underwater for 10 years now. I find how the light moves underwater and in different bodies of water fascinating. I also am curious about our relationship to water when in the water. Being in the water is therapeutic and the intent of these images, again in hindsight I see this, is that looking at these images can also be therapeutic.
This Special Place called Pownal
My relationship with the land around me has changed over the 18 years I have lived in Pownal. I never considered myself a landscape photographer. I wanted to photograph things I could have a relationship with. Now that I see the land around me with a deeper appreciation, I photograph it. The encroaching development of Pownal makes me grateful for these open spaces even more. I imagine it is only a matter of time before these places look very different.
