If I could give her 10 stars I would! Working with Sharyn takes away all the jitters and worry that any bride to be might naturally have. She really gets it. AND she makes it her mission to really get YOU.

She is very much an artist in her craft, and while being laid-back and casual is simultaneously professional and focused.

She is a master at light, and also at catching those moments that are fleeting. We were so lucky to have Sharyn and Matt photograph our wedding in Franklin, Maine last August. Sharyn and Matt put in a lot of ground work in with us before the wedding so that when the day came it felt so natural to have them there as an extension of the guest list, who also took fantastic photos!!!

Sharyn made the most of our property in Maine and found beautiful places for shots that we couldn't have imagined were possible. She even went as far as to sneak us out of the reception for our most favorite photo of the day in the Maine twilight.

Sharyn is awesome. Totally worth the money for our wedding photographer! She is down to earth, easy going and so friendly. Sharyn totally was the glue on a crazy day - she was a fabulous support and took amazing photos.  

Her assistant Laura even went out in a boat to get photos of us on the dock, and we frolicked on a lobster boat after sunset for some beautiful shots! We ended up with over 2,000 stunning photographs and everyone is delighted.

I first met Sharyn when I was looking for a wedding photographer 16 years ago. From the moment she and I spoke on the phone, I liked her laidback personality and knew we would click. We booked her for our wedding and scheduled an engagement shoot with her so we could get to know each other before our big day. We picked Sharyn from the beginning because, from her site, she seemed to always be in the right place at the right time. No staged shots with fake smiles. Just honest, candid shots of a special day. But you never know until the day... 

We got married outdoors. In Maine. In February. With 24 hours to go they began predicting the worst blizzard of the year (36 inches with 60mph winds). At the last minute we moved the entire wedding forward a day. In the chaos, I only had time to leave a rather incoherent message about the change. To be honest, I half expect her not to make it. I would have understood. But the morning of the wedding, we got a text: "on my way if you still need me." 

She showed up and immediately got what we were going for. She was easy going and unobtrusive, but more than we ever expected, she still somehow managed to always be in the right place at the right time. She captured those beautiful fleeting moments we felt, but without the photos would never have been able to remember. We can't recommend her highly enough.

Our standard poodle, Watson, has often been in the eye of our cameras in his eleven years, but when we were given the gift of a photo session with Sharyn, we finally came face-to-face with the Real Watson! Sharyn instantly bonded with Wattie, merging into his world and engaging him in “just doing his Watson thing”—her non-stop clicking camera catching all the nuances of his behavior.

Photographing poodles is a challenge—the eyes of the black ones disappear-- and in general, their “poodle prance” is lost in a still, but Sharyn overcame the breed issues and the results were truly a “Wow!” Watson emerged—eyes sparkling, prance vibrating!

In addition to producing exciting, beautiful, “want-every-one” pictures, Sharyn, as a person, is a delight—easy, effortless—an instant friend of dog and owner. I only regret that we don’t have another dog, so Sharyn could return for another photo shoot!
