First, know this. I care about your health and well being and I care about my own.
Not only do I take seriously the state and federal CDC recommendations for safety, I also know what makes sense for safe practices while having photo shoots.
Here are a few ways we work to keep each other safe:
- Vaccines. My staff and I are fully vaccinated and boosted. I have already had COVID and trust me, I don't want to have it again and I don't want you to have to experience it either.
- Distancing. The great thing about having awesome camera equipment is that much of what I shoot will be six feet away from you and it is safe to be outside.
- Masks. I bring a mask and can wear it indoors. Please share if you feel more comfortable with me wearing it outdoors as well. I often like not to, because so much of my communication is with my smile and facial expressions.
- Studio. At my studio, I have hand sanitizer and masks. Because it is by appointment only it is not a high traffic place.
- Rescheduling. All of us need to be fever-free and symptom-free for 72 hours prior to the shoot and if rescheduling needs to happen there will be no rescheduling fee.
- Contact Tracing. Should any of us learn that we have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive after the shoot has happened, or if either of us tests positive, we agree to let each other know.
- Consultations & Ordering. Image and shoot consultations done in the studio can be masked and others can be done through Zoom or Google Meets.
- Take it outside. There are many outdoor locations in the great state of Maine for your shoot. One of them is at the Pineland Farms campus where my studio is. There are beautiful gardens, an orchard, a pond, trails, a farm, and well-kept grounds that we can photograph on. This is one reason why I chose to have my studio here! The best way to decide on a great location if you are undecided is to call me so we can discuss.
- Studio. The studio was approved by the state to be open (we submitted a COVID-19 Action Commitment to Re-Open Photography Studio Business to the Maine DECD). We have the badge in the doorway not only because it is required but because we want you to feel comfortable knowing I honor your health and well-being -- and likewise, I want you to honor mine!
Remember, with all of these precautions, having a photoshoot is less risky than getting your coffee at a drive-thru!!
