Photo Sessions in 2020 & Compliance with the CDC
A personal note:
Let me begin by saying that I care about your health and well being and I care about my own. Not only do I take into consideration the Maine CDC recommendations for safety, but I do spend time to reflect on and take into consideration what makes sense for safe practices while having photo shoots. I also spend a fair amount of time listening to podcasts about the virus, to stay in the know!
I will be sharing detailed info on the type of shots we can get specifically with different lenses and distances all adhering to social distancing guidelines. Please be on the look out for that and subscribe to my blog to be notified!
Most people who schedule photo sessions with me do outdoor shoots! We can continue to do outdoor shoots and stay in compliance with Maine CDC guidelines.
Here are a few ways in which shoots will go in the coming months.
Looking good! I will provide a portable stand up a mirror for your own primping needs!
Hands Off! I am typically a hands on fix your shirt or hair kind of photographer, but I will be hands off these days. Sorry!
Or rather, better safe than sorry. :)
Masks. I will bring a mask and wear it at all times during the shoot when I am within 6 feet of anyone.
Rescheduling. All of us need to be fever-free and symptom-free for 72 hours prior to the shoot and if rescheduling needs to happen there will be no rescheduling fee. Also, should any of us learn that we have in contact with anyone who has tested positive, we will reschedule for a later date.

Consultations. Image consultations will be done through zoom or FaceTime, or at the studio with appropriate face coverings.
Print Ordering. Print orders will be done over the phone, via zoom, and online.
POP UP Studio. To achieve studio like quality photos i.e. headshots, I will be using a pop tent for studio shots.
Outdoor locations. There are many outdoor locations in the great state of Maine for your shoot. One of them is at the Pineland Farms campus where my studio is. There are beautiful gardens, an orchard, a pond, trails, a farm, and well-kept grounds that we can photograph on. This is one reason why I chose to have my studio here! The best way to decide a great location if you are undecided is to call me and we'll talk.
Studio. The studio has been approved by the state to open (we submitted a COVID-19 Action Commitment to Re-Open Photography Studio Business to the Maine DECD). Shortly, we will have the badge in the doorway not only because it is required but because we want you to feel comfortable knowing I honor your health and well being -- and likewise, I want you to honor mine!
Remember, with all of these precautions, having a photo shoot is less risky than getting your coffee at a drive-thru!!
Have questions for me? Please be in touch, I want to hear from you!
