I held mini sessions this spring and here is the first family I photographed. I did several few mini shoots, 20 minutes long and scheduled 30 minutes apart at the Pineland Farms Apple Orchard. It has been a few years since I have done these and I am inspired to do them again this year! 20 minutes gives us just enough time to capture a posed family shot and a few candids. Every family was right on time and every kid and adult wanted to have their photo taken. In fact there was even some competition for camera time amongst one family of boys, but that is the next family I will post. This family the Libby Family, I had never met these little ones and they had never met me. I like to let kids know right away, we are here to have fun, be a team, corporate and then have some fun surprises because we never know how the photos will come out!
One of the things I enjoy about photographing families is watching personalities come out. The little one being her age, needed to observe and comfort herself a bunch because all of it was new. I enjoy photographing that, because it is who they are, and honestly it is sweet. But then this little one had a moment where she decided to stand up, take the thumb out of her mouth and be centerstage and in her own way with no words, say hi to me! That is the shot at the bottom of this blog post. That is one of my favorites because of that.
