Suzanne & Craig's Spruce Point Inn Wedding
There are a couple of good life reminders I took from Suzanne and Craig's wedding. It rains in Maine in June... and taking dance lessons really looks good during the first dance.
Those may be obvious at first, but let me go a little deeper!
Rain forecasts are unpredictable, and just as the coastline of Maine varies and jets in and out up the entire state, rain can stop and start at any time. A forecast of rain is usually never a 100% given. The best way to plan for rain is to plan for the unpredictable rain. Plan to answer "is it ok to start 5-15 minutes later so we can be outside on the water?" Most people would say yes. Then you have to consider: what does it mean to the venue to change locations within the last hour? At the end of the day, most people like being outside. We fared some light showers and mist for the First Look and then it all magically stopped just in time for pictures on shoreline. And while the forecast kept predicting a soggy ceremony, Suzanne and Craig were blessed again when the raindrops stopped just in time for a beautiful and mystical outside ceremony. It was nerve-wracking and lovely all at the same time.
And what a first dance! Suzanne and Craig took a few dance lessons and, well, need I say more? As someone who loves to dance, having a few great spins and being comfortable on the dance floor not only makes for great pictures but for a really good time! I encourage dance lessons to all brides and grooms. You really learn a lot about each other during the lessons too! Here is a preview of Suzanne and Craig with a slideshow as well!
Enjoy the love!
