Snowville Family Shoot
This July I returned to Snowville New Hampshire for Jess and Brian's family shoot. I had been there 9 years ago for their wedding, and again 3 years ago for her younger sister Sarah's wedding, and now for a family shoot with the new additions to the family. Meeting them in the morning at her parents home, Aida her oldest daughter took a few minutes to warm to the idea of me and my camera. Aida soon became an art director with many photo ideas. We shot around the barn, in the garden, and on the road which is to me is very New England, a small paved road with lots of trees and a steep hill! We also photographed at the home Jess and Brian rented for the month. There they played hide and seek and we all cheered the young fitness couple, Aunt Sarah and Uncle Zak on for tree pull-ups! We ended the shoot with little Simon going for a nap and Jess in a camera and photo lesson with me going over all of her wonderful pictures she takes of her students at the Internation School in Ethiopia. I truly enjoyed looking at her photographs and am very happy to see she takes so many. It painted a very good picture of their life from Ethiopian afternoon coffee rituals to all multicultural student-athletes. Here are some of our shots from that morning in July.
When shooting sometimes a series unfolds and here is one of those times. Aida in her grandmother's raspberry patch with her little brother Simon.
Ending with a photo of Simon who is at the age of being completely infatuated with his grandpa's orange Kubota tractor. :)
