Auzzie's Personal Dog Portrait Session in Pownal Maine
Auzzie rode in the back of his family's car from New Hampshire to Pownal Maine for his photo shoot. Auzzie's #1 human, Pat, received a gift card for a session for Auzzie. Pat's daughter knew that he would appreciate great portraits of one of his most beloved family members. After talking with Pat about Auzzie, we decided it was best to do the shoot where no other dogs or people would be. I chose this field in Pownal. There are only two other people I know who walk their dogs there. Sure enough one neighbor arrived and when I explained to her what I was doing she took an alternative trail. That was much appreciated.
Auzzie had a blast investigating all the field mice trails and drinking like he hadn't had water that day! He stayed on the move the entire shoot until it was time to go home. Finally then I could capture his beautiful eyes. Pat told me that Auzzie at 10, had 20% of the energy he used to have. I can only imagine what he was like!
Some dogs get lucky with adoption. Rescue dog Auzzie found a great match with Pat and Amber. Check out a preview of photos below.
I generally recommend a 30-45 minute session to be able to capture all the fun in a dog portrait session. I also recommend a couple of metal prints both big and small because whose face can you not get enough of?!
