This was my fourth year documenting the young life of Miriam and her family. Miriam has the good fortune of summertimes in Maine, building memories in nature, exploring and learning how to swim. This year Miriam swam on her own and couldn't wait to show me. The authentic faces children give say so much. This shot of Miriam swimming in the water, I can see joy, and pride in her swimming accomplishments. It is awesome to be able to capture images that she can have for her lifetime. As Jen, her mom, and I discussed memories of Maine summer time never goes away. not only will they live forever in her heart but they will are reaffirmed every time she can look through these pictures. Photography is a gift to the child as much as to the parents.
