2019: A Year of Awesome Memories
2019! You are almost over. What did I do this year?
I photographed many wonderful people from the east coast of Maine at sunrise to the sunsets in LA. I captured my 93-year-old grandmother's last portrait and many beautiful babies' firsts. I photographed dancers being flipped in the air and regular people being laid out in the spirit on the floor. I photographed a rescue dog that received sight after being blind. Life never ceases to inspire me and move me. I thank all the people whom I have photographed this year, from those that asked me to, paid me to and those that may have wished I didn't but I did anyway.
In my love for numbers I had to take a tally of the number of images captured this year. It is 106,638. That is a lot of clicking and a lot of decision making. I had my first camera actually die on me this year; the shutter broke apart and scratched the sensor. That is like ruining the transmission and engine all at once if it was a car. What's great though, is that I bought an even better camera and I am so glad I did. The d850 is now my top Nikon of choice amongst my five working camera bodies. Here are a slideshow and gallery featuring just a small fraction of those 106,638 images taken. Enjoy and have a happy and blessed 2020! ~ Sharyn
